Bar/Bat Mitzvah Favors That Can Be Used for Decor And Taken Home

After the Bar/Bat Mitzvah service has been concluded it's off to celebrate. Most celebrations today have a theme. Sometimes it is related to a favorite activity such as sports, movies, theater, shopping etc. As I've mentioned in previous blogs what makes a favor special is the graphic that is designed to go with the theme. Recently to enhance the theme/ favor idea further I had a client who was planning a party with a soccer theme. Initially we went through many of the typical ideas for favors. My client really wanted the kids to feel like they were on the soccer field so we decided to do folding sport chairs that would have a soccer logo and would go around the tables at the party. The colors for the party are red and black so we did half red and half black chairs. At the end of the evening each child will take home a chair. Could you think of a more memorable favor?

A reader of our blog posted a comment on what to give as a gift and when to give it. Of course what you give depends on who you are and what your relationship is to whoever is having the Bar/Bat Mitzvah. If you are a classmate or friend the usual gift is a check for around $36.00, which is called double chai or $54.00 which is triple chai and is considered good luck. Of course if this is your best friend you might want to give more or buy them a gift that they will treasure more then a check.
